About me

I’m a native of Miami, Florida and called it home even through college. It wasn’t until I married my husband John, and followed him to pursue his military career, that I moved away from home for the first time.

I’ve had the unique privilege of being able to live all over the world and meet so many wonderful people. Along the way, I’ve picked up a plethora of hobbies and skills.

About the blog

I started blogging in 2012, while my husband was deployed to Afghanistan. I wanted an outlet to share my knowledge and ideas about the military and being an Army wife. In the decade plus since starting to blog, I’ve expanded to include posts about parenting, DIY and craft projects, traveling, and recipes.

I’ve found it difficult to stick to a single niche or blogging category, so you’ll find a little bit of everything here. My goal is to inspire other modern-day parents and military spouses with the content I create and share.
